College Football Kicks Off: Marshall v. Ohio State
Terrelle Pryor tossed three touchdown passes, Brandon Saine rushed for 103 yards and two scores and No. 2 Ohio State rolled over error-prone Marshall 45-7 on Thursday night in a tuneup for a big date with Miami.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Terrelle Pryor tossed three touchdown passes, Brandon Saine rushed for 103 yards and two scores and No. 2 Ohio State rolled over error-prone Marshall 45-7 on Thursday night in a tuneup for a big date with Miami.
Pryor completed 17 of 25 passes for 247 yards and TDs covering 6 and 11 yards to DeVier Posey and 65 yards to Dane Sanzenbacher before 105,040 at Ohio Stadium.
The Buckeyes, who haven't lost a home opener since 1978, next play on Sept. 11 against No. 13 Miami, which coasted past Florida A&M 45-0.
It was a bleak debut for new Marshall coach Doc Holliday. The Thundering Herd fumbled the opening kickoff and were down 14-0 before running their first play in Ohio State territory.

BAH - really, didn't do that bad? only points off a defensive play? Marshall plays OSU and WVU the same reason Coastal plays WVU - pay day. That's it. Marshall is the new punching bag.
First of all, there is $$$$$$ for Marshall. This is a learning experience for Doc Holliday and his Herd. They will be able to see their weakness in a better light. I am a Buckeye but I don't like to see a first claas team as Ohio State is supposed to be, run the score to that level. That is not a first class team. Good luck to Doc Holliday and his Herd this season. Glory Days to the Herd.
I'm a WVU fan except for one game a year. Some of the WVU fans that post on here may or may not be able to figure out which game. But enough about that. As far as wondering why Marshall would have Ohio State in their schedule you WVU posters should look in the mirror. WVU will be playing Coastal Carolina which plays in the same league as University of Charleston. Makes you wonder why they would play a team from so far away when they could play UC from their home state. Ask yourself that question and see if you can come up with an answer.
