CLEVELAND (AP) - The Cleveland Browns slid closer to a spot in the AFC playoffs today with an 8-0 win over Buffalo.

Jamal Lewis plowed for 163 yards and Phil Dawson somehow kicked two field goals through harsh, wintry winds.

Unable to throw the ball with swirling winds off Lake Erie gusting over 40 mph, the Browns handed it 33 times to Lewis, and the Atlanta native slopped his way down the field like a kid who grew up in the Midwest.

The Browns (9-5) can clinch their first playoff appearance since 2002 with a win at Cincinnati next week.

The Bills (7-7) were all but eliminated from making the postseason.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Fred Taylor scored the decisive touchdown on a 12-yard run in the final two minutes as the Jacksonville Jaguars hung on to beat the Steelers in snowy Pittsburgh 29-22.

Taylor rushed for 147 yards as the 10-and-4 Jaguars moved closer to an AFC playoff berth.

Pittsburgh is 9-and-5, losing at home for the first time this season. The Steelers fell into a tie with Cleveland for the AFC
North lead. They could have clinched the division with a win and a Browns loss.

David Garrard (guh-RARD') threw three touchdown passes as the Jaguars built a 22-7 lead.

Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger (RAHTH'-lihs-bur-gur) also threw three TDs despite playing with a sore shoulder. His 30-yard strike to Nate Washington was his 29th scoring pass of the season and set a team record.

As a Bengals Fan I have to say that it would be a wonderful thing to see the steelers lose the division to the Brownies. And also be able to watch Coach Lewis get fired from the Bengals. They cant even make their usual 8-8 this season.Just My opinion.Thanks.
