MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia coach Bob Huggins met his
former school, Cincinnati, for the first time tonight since his
ouster from the Bearcats a few years ago.
Cincinnati held West Virginia to the worst shooting night in
school history, beating the Mountaineers 62-39 in Morgantown, West
Virginia.
West Virginia made just 10-of-50 field goals for the game,
including four in the second half.
Deonta Vaughn led Cincinnati with 18 points and John Williamson
scored 11.
Darris Nichols scored a team-best 17 points for West Virginia,
which went just 1 for 22 from 3-point range.
Huggins won 399 games with the Bearcats and led them to the NCAA
tournament in 14 of his 16 seasons before being forced out after a
2005 drunken driving arrest.
