GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - The West Virginia-East Carolina football game is still on.
Officials at East Carolina said Friday they're continuing to monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Hanna, but it has yet to affect the scheduled kickoff time of 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Previously, East Carolina outlined several parking restrictions to allow drainage in case Hanna causes localized flooding. Parking lots will open only three hours before kickoff instead of the usual six, and tents and tow cookers are prohibited.
School officials plan to issue another update late Friday afternoon once they know more about Hanna and its projected path. The storm is expected to come ashore overnight along the Carolinas coast.
