Ohio Beats Zips in Shootout
Boo Jackson's five touchdown passes helped Ohio improve to 3-8 overall, 2-5 in the MAC. Akron dropped to 5-6 and 3-4.

ATHENS, Ohio (AP) - Boo Jackson threw five touchdown passes as Ohio beat visiting Akron 49-42 today.

His final scoring pass was a one-yarder to David Carter with 32 seconds left to put Ohio ahead for good.

Ohio improved to 3-8 overall, 2-5 in the MAC. Akron dropped to 5-6 and 3-4.

Akron's Chris Jacquemain ran for a score in the second quarter and connected with Deryn Bowser on a 60-yard TD pass.
