HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Huntington High star C.J. Crawford ended the recruiting battle for his services on Thursday night by verbally committing to play at Marshall.

The 6-2, 200 pound qb/wide receiver was considering offers from Arkansas, Purdue and Marshall.

He scored 8 touchdowns from the receiver position this year on a Huntington High team that only won one game.

Crawford runs a 4.4 forty and told WSAZ by phone that he'll play wherever he can help the Herd.

Best of luck to you CJ. Keep your head and grades up and you will achieve all of your goals. I can't wait to continue to support you for the next 4 years. Now you will finally see what it feels like to play with a team, as a team. So sorry you didn't have that winning team and coaching expierence at HHS. With you on the MU field, the Herd can only get better!! GO HERD

Two Words - Marquis Martin. Class of 2005..the best football player (who actually saw the field) in cabell county..maybe ever. Apparently he wasnt even good enough to play at Marshall. And Crawford is. HHS was 10-38 while he was there.
