HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Marshall sophomore linebacker Corey Hart has been suspended for the opening game of the 2009 season after being arrested on a misdemeanor charge Thursday on campus.

Police say they smelled marijuana coming out of a dorm room of an acquaintance of Hart's.

Marshall Coach Mark Snyder issued a statement concerning the situation.

"I’m very disappointed in Corey’s poor decision," Marshall football head coach Mark Snyder said. "He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and because of this he will not play in the season opener (Sept. 5 at home against Southern Illinois)."

It's weed...who cares? It should be legal anyways. I mean alcohol affects your judgement more than pot does. Pretty sure people die from alcohol everyday and how many pot deaths do you hear about? I'd much rather be a pothead than an alcoholic...think about it. The only harm a person high on weed is going to do is kill a bag of potato chips with a package of doughnuts on the side.
