CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Former West Virginia Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steeler Amos Zereoue will visit Charleston next week.

The West Virginia Power is hosting a dinner to benefit a new charity, "Field of Minds" formed by Zereoue.

"Field of Minds" is geared toward teaming up with government parks and recreation departments in underprivledged areas across the country, according to a news release.

"It's goal is to help refurbish, build and or maintain playing fields to provide a safe and clean environment for the youth of today and tomorrow," according to the release.

"Field of Minds" will officially kick off shortly before Zereoue's trip to Charleston.

The charity dinner is set for Sunday, July 26 at the clubhouse at Appalachian Power Park. Tickets are $100 per person and $700 per table of eight.

The dinner also includes a ticket to the West Virginia Power's game at 5:05 p.m. and an opportunity to meet the former NFL standout.
