Defending Class Single-A boys champion Charleston Catholic is going back to the title game.
The Irish disposed of Williamstown 67-to-45 today in the
semifinals at the Charleston Civic Center.
Williamstown lost to Charleston Catholic in the semis for the
second straight season.
For second-seeded Charleston Catholic, Joe Sassler scored 22
points and Bo King had 20.
Zac Badgley alone couldn't carry third-seeded Williamstown. He
had 19 points, but no other Yellowjackets player scored more than
seven.
Williamstown trailed by eleven at halftime and got no closer
than eight in the second half. Charleston Catholic shot 58 percent
from the field after halftime.
Williamstown was trying to reach the championship game for the
first time since 1965. Its only title was in 1962.
