NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has taken out a full-page newspaper ad promising to regain the trust and respect of his team and fans.
Jones is appealing a season-long suspension for bad behavior and thinks N-F-L commissioner Roger Goodell made him the league's poster boy for disciplining players. Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry also was been suspended but received an eight-game ban.
In the ad in Friday's (Nashville) Tennessean newspaper, Jones writes of hoping to exceed people's expectations. He says his first step is to stop making poor choices.
Jones has been arrested five times since being drafted into the N-F-L in 2005.
Henry also was suspended for numerous arrests.
Both Jones and Henry attended West Virginia University.
