Ryan Howard returned after missing three games
with a sprained knee ligament and put a hurt on the Cincinnati
Reds.

Howard hit a two-run homer and drove in three runs to help the
Phillies beat the Reds nine-to-three today.

Chase Utley had a pair of doubles and Wes Helms had three hits
for the Phillies, who have won three of four and back-to-back games
for the first time this season.

The Reds snapped a 10-inning scoreless streak in the fourth on
Javier Valentin's sacrifice fly and added runs in the sixth and the
ninth, couldn't muster enough offense to come within striking
distance of the Phillies.

Cincinnati scored just six runs in the series against
Philadelphia, and with a record of nine-and-ten, fell to below .500
for the first time this season.
