Walls signs with Marshall

Just one day after visiting Marshall University for the second time, Scott County, Kentucky star Matt Walls signed a national letter of intent to play for the Herd.
The 6-3 Kentucky All Stater made it official in the Scott County gymnasium Wednesday afternoon. Walls had talked with Louisville coach Rick Pitino about walking on for the Cardinals and then earning a scholarship, but he chose the sure thing by signing with Marshall.
He averaged 20 points a game and made all tournament in the Kentucky Sweet 16's by leading his Cardinals to the state championship. He made 88 three pointers and shot nearly 40 percent from outside the arc and shot over 90 percent from the free throw line.
