Three WVU stars weren't drafted over the weekend by NFL teams but that doesn't mean their dreams of playing in the league are over. That's where the beauty of free agency enters the equation.
Jeremy Sheffey signed with the San Diego Chargers. The former Boyd County high school star was a longtime starter on the offensive line for the Mountaineers.
His former teammate on the line also signed on the dotted line. Dan Mozes will get a tryout with Minnesota. Mozes, a two-time All-American at WVU, including a first-team pick in 2006.
Finally, defensive star Kevin "Boo" McLee is going to St. Louis. He also signed a free agent deal on Sunday night.
He told the Uniontown Herald Leader that he's "going in there with a chip on my shoulder. I want to prove that I'm definitely a good enough linebacker to make it in the NFL."
