Power Lose Slugfest

A seven run 7th inning cost the West Virginia Power a win over the Asheville Tourists.

The Power led 2-0 after the 1st inning, only to see Asheville score 5 runs in the next two innings.

Steve Chapman's two out triple in the 5th tied the game at five.

Asheville's Mike McKenry hit a grand slam to close out the seven 7th inning, giving Asheville a 12-5 lead.

Power were able to score 2 runs in the 8th, on Steve Chapman and Martin Maldonado's back to back homers.

Brent Brewer hit a two run double in the ninth.

Mike Ramlow (2-2) pitched in relief and took the loss.
