Power Lose At Home

The West Virginia Power lost the series opener to the Augusta GreenJackets at Appalachian Power Park, 10-5.

Augusta jumped out to a 4-0 lead by scoring two in the first inning and one run in the 2nd and 3rd innings.

The Power cut the GreenJacket lead to one in the bottom of the 3rd with Darren Ford's 3 run homer.

West Virginia's John Alonso tied the game at four in the 4th with a triple and scoring on a wild pitch.

Augusta scored 3 in the 5th and the 9th innings for the 10-5 victory.
