For the first time in the West Virginia Power's short history, a former player is now in the big leagues. Ryan Braun was called up for Saturday nights' game for the Milwaukee Brewers. They are the parent club for the Charleston based Class A team. He'll be suiting up against the San Diego Padres.

Just two years ago, Braun hit .335 with 8 homeruns and 35 RBI for the Power. He did that in just 37 games and was the 5th overall selection in the 2005 draft. This season he was hitting .342 with 10 homeruns.
