Behind the six-hit pitching of Kyle Lohse, the
Cincinnati Reds blanked Pittsburgh 4-to-0. The win snapped a
six-game losing streak for the Reds and a personal six-game losing
skid for Lohse. The win leaves Lohse with a record of 2-and-6 while
loser Ian Snell dropped to 4-and-4.

Reds' center fielder Ryan Freel was rushed to a hospital during
the game after a collision with right fielder Norris Hopper. He
laid on the turf for 13 minutes being examined before being taken
off the field on a stretcher. The Reds report his C-T scans were
normal and that he was diagnosed with a contusion to the head and
neck.
