Huntington High School football coach Richard Williams has resigned.
Williams gave his letter of resignation to Huntington's principal Greg Webb earlier this week.
The 20 year coach took over the Huntington program in 2001 and led the team to three Class Triple-A playoff appearances in his six years as coach.
He cited a difference in philosophies with the administration as to why he left.
Webb says the school will start the search for a new coach as early as next week.
