Herbert Hoover High School baseball coach Kevin Buckner plans to step down after leading the team to the Class Double-A championship.
Hoover won the baseball title on Saturday with a 3-to-1 victory over Grafton. It's the school's first state team title in any sport.
Buckner guided the Huskies to a record of 152-and-61-and-1 in seven seasons.
Buckner says one reason for the decision is the opportunity to watch his son, Grant, play at West Virginia University next season.
