Power Clinch Playoff Spot

The West Virginia Power clinched the Northern Division 1st half title with a 9-5 road victory over the Lexington Legends.

The Power took a 2-0 lead in the third on back to back homers by Kenny Holmberg and Taylor Green.

The Legends got a run back in the bottom of the 3rd with Nick Moresi's solo home run.

They took a 3-2 in the 5th on a homer by Tim Torres and a single by Eric Taylor.

The Power reclaimed the lead in the 6th.

Steve Chapman grounded out, but Andrew Lefave was able to score.

Andy Bouchie scored on Kenny Holmberg's double off of the centerfield wall to give the Power a 4-3 lead.

The Power added 5 more runs in the 9th, highlighted by a 3 run homer by Andrew Lefave.

Travis Wendte (4-0) picked up the win in relief.

The Power improved their record to 41-16.
