Former Marshall basketball coach Ron Jirsa has joined Tubby Smith's staff at Minnesota.
Jirsa and Smith worked together at Virginia Commonwealth, Tulsa
and Georgia. Jirsa was Georgia's head coach from 1997 to 1999. He
spent four seasons at Marshall before he was let go in March.
Others joining the Minnesota staff include Smith's son, Saul,
who played for his father at Kentucky for four years.
