Kentucky sophomore re-injures shoulder
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The University of Kentucky says sophomore
center Jared Carter re-injured his shoulder last week. Carter
missed most of last season with a dislocated right shoulder.
The seven-foot-two player from Georgetown, Kentucky, dislocated
his shoulder last November, came back to play three games and
re-injured it during practice the next month.
University spokesman Scott Stricklin says the school's medical
staff has not yet determined the extent of the injury.
The Courier-Journal reports that Kentucky plans to seek a
medical redshirt year for last season.
