One of the hottest team in all of pro baseball is the West Virginia Power and they found another way to win Sunday night in Charleston.
Lake County had jumped out to a 4-0 lead through 5 innings and led 7-2 entering the bottom of the 7th. Then the Power bats woke up big time. They scored three times in the 7th and 6 more in the bottom of the 8th. The big shot for the Power in the deciding 8th inning was a grand slam by Charlie Fermaint. It was his 2nd home run as a member of the Power.
They finish the first half of the regular season with an astonishing 48-20 record. But that's not the best record in the South Atlantic League. That belongs to Southern Division champs Augusta who are 50-20. The Power is off until June 21st when they host Kannapolis because of the Sally League All-Star game.
