West Virginia and Colorado have agreed to a two-year football game contract for 2008 and 2009.
WVU Deputy Athletic Director Mike Parsons says all the terms have been agreed to by e-mail and school officials are just waiting to receive the contract.
The deal would send the Mountaineers to Boulder, Colorado, on September 27th, 2008, with Colorado coming to Morgantown on September 26th, 2009.
West Virginia has been searching for a two-game series with a fellow Bowl Championship Series conference opponent since January 2006. That's when Maryland asked to interrupt a series that dates to 1980. The Terps want to play California in 2008 and 2009 and will resume the series with W-V-U in 2010.
Parsons says West Virginia and Colorado will trade 200-thousand-dollar guarantees. And because E-S-P-N helped facilitate the deal, there's a good chance both games will be on national television.
