JR House Makes All-Star Team

Former Nitro football star J-R House has been selected as the starting catcher for the International League in the Triple-A all-star baseball game in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The game is set for July Eleventh.

The 27-year-old House plays for the Norfolk Tides, an Orioles
affiliate.

He's batting .295 with six home runs and ranks second in the
league in hits with 86 and fourth in runs batted in with 46. He's
trying to make the major leagues for the third time.

House played six games with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2003 and
2004 and four with the Houston Astros last year. In-between, during
the 2005 football season, he was a third-string quarterback for
West Virginia University.
