Several NFL teams today cut ties with players
with West Virginia connections.
Tight end Jermaine Wiggins was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Wiggins lettered at Marshall in 1994 and 1995 before transferring
to Georgia.
The San Diego Chargers let go former WVU guard Jeremy Sheffey.
And the Arizona Cardinals cut ties with free agent punter Ricky
Schmitt out of Shepherd.
