Wizards Welcome Wall

WASHINGTON (AP) - John Wall has been given a Hollywood-style
welcome by the Washington Wizards.
The franchise went over the top for its No. 1 overall pick
Friday, setting out a red carpet outside the Verizon Center and
another roped-off red carpet inside the front doors and leading to
the elevator. Huge banners and T-shirts proclaimed Wall as a "Game
Changer."
Fans lined up four-deep along the sidewalk and on the street to
take photos of the 19-year-old point guard, who arrived one day
after he was chosen with the first pick of the NBA draft in New
York.
Wall said he's used to getting a lot of hype because he played
college ball at Kentucky. But he added: "To be on the red carpet,
I felt like I was big time."
