Browns trade starting QB Frye to Seattle

CLEVELAND (AP) - Just days after being benched before halftime
in the season opener, Browns starting quarterback Charlie Frye has
been traded.
Frye was sent to the Seattle Seahawks today for sixth round
draft pick.
Frye played poorly and was pulled in the second quarter of the
Browns' 34-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
His swift departure means the Browns will start Derek Anderson
at home on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
It also means that rookie Brady Quinn will be the team's Number
Two quarterback.
Browns general manager Phil Savage says starting Quinn has been
discussed, and that the former Notre Dame star could soon be under
center.
The Browns today also signed quarterback Ken Dorsey to a 1-year
contract. He was cut 10 days ago by the club.
