CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Barrett Barnes’ two home runs lift the Power over Lakewood Friday night in Charleston.
Barrett Barnes had something going when he stepped to plate Friday night.
The Power was trailing by two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning when Barrett stepped to the plate for his first long ball. With one man on, Barret crushed a pitch over the left field wall and tied the game at five.
The next time he stepped to the plate would be under different circumstances, but with the same result. The Power now leading the game 8-5 and had two men on base, Barrett sent another ball deep to left field to score the Power’s final three runs of the game.
The Power gave up two one run innings in the eighth and ninth but secured the victory 11-7.
