CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Miki Glenn set a Class AA girls tournament record with 40 points in Bridgeport's 57-48 semifinal win Friday over Nicholas County.

Ritchie County's Missy Spangler in 2001 and Scott's Makenzie White in 2011 shared the old mark of 37 points.

Glenn made 11 of 17 field goals and 17 of 18 free throws. She also had eight rebounds and six steals.

Second-seeded Bridgeport (24-2) returns to the championship game for the second straight season. It lost to Greenbrier East in Class AAA last year.

Hope Chalfant added 11 points for Bridgeport, which led by as many as 16 midway through the fourth quarter.

Shealyn Shafer had 26 points and 12 rebounds for No. 3 Nicholas County (21-4), which was trying to reach the title game for the first time.
