CHARLESTON, W. Va. – Charleston broke open a close game in the second half and posted a 97-83 win over West Virginia State Tuesday evening.
Terrell Lipkins canned eight shots from the floor en route to a 24-point performance for the victors. He also distributed six assists and had five rebounds. Evan Faulkner totaled 20 points while Robbie Dreher chipped in 17. Fred Simpson swatted three shots for the Golden Eagles. The team drained 54 percent of its shots from the floor.
Anton Hutchins paced the Yellow Jackets with a team-best 20 points. He connected on seven field goals in the game. David Ford tallied 18 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds while Jalen Walker accounted for 15 points.
