RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) - Mike DiNunno scored 13 points and Eastern Kentucky used a big run midway through the game for a 59-52 victory over Morehead State Saturday night.
The Colonels (14-3, 4-0) are 4-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference for the first time in 34 years. They started OVC play 5-0 in the 1978-79 season. Morehead State fell to 8-10, 2-2.
The Eagles led 20-14 with 5:07 left in the first half, but Eastern Kentucky ended it on an 18-1 run. The Colonels scored the first five points of the second half to make it a 23-1 run and led 37-21
Orlando Williams had 7 of his 10 points in that run, Tarius Johnson 6 of his 11. Eric Stutz chipped in 10 points.
Drew Kelly posted a double-double for Morehead State with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Bakari Turner, the only other Eagle in double figures, added another 13 points.
MST: Americans represent exactly one-third of Sunday's Indy 500 field. It's been six years since a U.S. driver has won the prestigious race and Ed Carpenter holds the pole.
The field has been set for the 2013 Indianapolis 500. Ed Carpenter won the pole and will be joined by rookie Carlos Munoz and Marco Andretti on the front row. Row three features defending IndyCar champ Ryna Hunter-Reay, Helio Castroneves and James Hinchcliffe. (NBC Sports)
