Former HHS Pitching Standout Signed to Minnesota Twins Organization

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Former Huntington High pitching star Patrick Arnold is on his way up north to continue his professional career.

Arnold will join the Minnesota Twins organization, after rehabbing his shoulder for the last year and a half. Arnold underwent Tommy John surgery some two years ago and got the call earlier this year from the Twins and signed a contract.

Arnold’s also helping encourage young baseball players to continue playing the game here closer to home.

The West Virginia Baseball Conference will field teams for 13- to 14-year-old kids, and the games will be played at the Kennedy Center along Route 2 outside of Huntington.

If you’re interested in signing up, contact Dan’s Sports Shop at (304) 523-1974.
