CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ)-- The wins keep coming for the George Washington Patriots. The team is now 5-1 after a big win over Spring Valley last week.
A big reason for the win, Patriot's Senior running back Ryan Switzer. He rushed for 309 yards and five touchdowns in GW's 42-7 blowout of Spring Valley.
GW Head Coach Steve Edwards, Jr. says he's just happy Switzer's on his sideline.
"He's just gifted and able to do some special things," Edwards said. "He's a talent that doesn't come along a whole long. I'm glad he's on my team and I'm not having to try to defend him"
The Patriots next face the Riverside Warriors (1-5) this Friday in Belle, West Virginia. Keep clicking on WSAZ.com for previews leading up to Football Friday Night on WSAZ.
