CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The University of Charleston earned a hard fought 71-66 win over visiting Concord Thursday evening.
The Golden Eagles drained 51 percent of their shots from the floor and canned six second-half three-point shots to earn the win.
Terrell Lipkins led all scorers with 25 points in the victory. He also dished out five assists and had two steals. Evan Faulkner totaled 16 points and distributed a game-high six assists. Fred Simpson came off the bench to post 11 points and 10 rebounds while Xavier Humphrey chipped in 10 markers.
Damien Tunstalle paced the Mountain Lions with 14 points and seven rebounds. Mike Boyd and Jordan Davis contributed 13 points apiece while Cam Shannon added nine. Thomas Brown totaled eight points while Nick Moyer grabbed a team-best eight boards.
