WHITE SULFUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some critics say he's past his prime, but this weekend, boxing great Evander Holyfield plans on showing everyone he's still "The Real Deal."
The 48-year-old Holyfield, who's the World Boxing Federation Heavyweight Champion, is defending his title at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.
This Saturday, Holyfield will step in the ring with Sherman "Tank" Williams at the Greenbriers' Colonial Hall in White Sulfur Springs.
Holyfield says despite his age, He can still hold his own.
"Now that I'm 48, they think 'oh, I'm going to beat the old man'," Holyfield said in an interview with a Greenbrier Resort spokesperson. "Okay, if you think you're smarter than the old man, then try it."
Doors open at 6 PM, first bout at 7 PM/ET, and first PPV fight at 9 PM.
