Lots of Things on Meyer's To-Do List This Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio State coach Urban Meyer opened his weekly news conference by mentioning "the positives and negatives in our game."

On one hand, he's pleased that his first edition of the Buckeyes overcame a fourth-quarter deficit to beat California 35-28 on Saturday to maintain a perfect record. And that quarterback Braxton Miller had another solid game and the defense picked up some sacks and made a late interception.

Then again, he knows there are a lot of areas to clean up in this week's final pre-Big Ten tune-up against winless UAB (0-2) before the Buckeyes get their first major test of the season at Michigan State on Sept. 29.

Missed tackles, an at-times sputtering offense and three nerve-wracking wins will keep Ohio State and Meyer busy in practice.
