MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) - J.J. Mann hit back-to-back 3-pointers, including the game-winner, as Belmont overcame a 14-point, second-half deficit to edge Morehead State 64-63 Thursday night and remain undefeated in Ohio Valley Conference play.
Ian Clark scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half for the Bruins (16-4, 7-0), who fell behind by 13 early and still trailed 45-31 with 17:35 remaining.
Mann, Clark and Reece Chamberlain each hit 3-pointers to spark a 16-6 run that got Belmont within four, but the Bruins could get no closer until Clark scored on a layup and Mann hit another 3 to tie it at 61 with 2:02 left.
After Chad Posthumus' jumper put the Eagles back on top, Mann answered with his go-ahead trey with 1:13 to go.
Mann finished with 11 points and five assists for the Bruins, who have won seven straight.
Bakari Turner's 16 points led Morehead State (10-11, 4-3).
