HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – New Marshall men’s basketball coach Dan D’Antoni continues to shape his 2014-15 roster, announcing forward Milan Mijovic as the second European addition to the Thundering Herd on Monday.

Mijovic (pronounced mi-HO-vik) is 6 feet 9, 260 pounds. He is the second Serbian to be signed by the Herd since D’Antoni was named the coach at his alma mater on April 25. Mijovic joins guard Aleska Nikolic as foreign additions to the team, thanks in large part to Herd assistant coach Scott Rigot’s reputation for finding and recruiting international talent.

A scouting report on Mijovic features his ability to establish an inside presence on the low block, combined with a knack for and awareness of how to fill the lane and play in space thanks to quick feet for a player his size.

A native of Belgrade, Serbia, Mijovic spent his most recent season with BC Panda Club where he averaged 16.8 points, 11.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, while shooting 58 percent from the field and 76 percent from the free throw line.

He joins Brett Bowling (Pineville, W.Va.), Stevie Browning (Logan, W.Va.), C.J. Burks (Hedgesville, W.Va.), James Kelly (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Nikolic (Pancevo, Serbia) as newcomers to the Herd program.
