CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Freshman Ashley Hall scored six of her eight points in the final 3 minutes to lead St. Marys to a 45-43 comeback win over Wheeling Central in the girls Class A semifinals Friday.
Third-seeded St. Marys (25-1) returns to the championship game for the third time in four seasons. It lost to St. Joseph in 2010 and 2011.
Haley Everett's only basket of the game gave St. Marys the lead for good, 41-39, with 42 seconds left. Hall made four free throws in the final 28 seconds to help preserve the win.
St. Marys' Kendra Walker had 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Audra Clark had 15 points before fouling out.
Emily Bucon had 19 points and 14 rebounds for second-seeded Wheeling Central (22-5).
