IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) --Ironton Assistant Coach Mark Vass will replace legendary coach Bob Lutz this Fall as head football coach.
Vass, a former Ironton quarterback, was unanimously approved by the Ironton School Board Sunday afternoon to replace Lutz. Vass was a member of the 1989 state championship team Lutz coached.
Lutz retired January 18th after 39 years as Ironton's head coach. Lutz won 381 games in his coaching career.
