There were two celebrations at Spring Valley's baseball complex on Wednesday night. The Timberwolves brought out the Gatorade after they beat Huntington High 11-3 and won the Class AAA Region IV Section IV final.
Then a much less raucous celebration in the Huntington High dugout as longtime Highlander Head Coach Toby Holbrook told his team he'd coached his last high school game.
After 44 years, 751 wins and 1 state championship, Holbrook decided it was time to step down.
The Highlanders finished the year with a 13-15 record, but lose only two senior starters.
