CINCINNATI (May 30, 2008) – Sign up now for the official Reds youth baseball camps, presented by Champions Baseball Academy.

The three-day camps for kids ages 5-14 teach all the basics from top instructors and are designed for players of all skill levels.

“This is a great opportunity for kids to get championship-caliber instruction in an enthusiastic environment”, said Chris Welsh, current Reds TV analyst on FSN Ohio and former Reds pitcher. “They’ll receive three informative and fun days of instruction in all areas of baseball.”

There will be a total of 31 regional camps in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia.

The first camps start on June 9 in Columbus, Portsmouth and Huntington, WV.

There are three camps per location:

• Little Red Champions: For boys & girls ages 5-6, covering all the basics - $129

• Reds Prospects: Ages 7-9, for the beginning player - $149

• Reds Veterans: Ages 10-14, for the more experienced and competitive player - $149

Camp sessions run for three hours, with ages 5-9 starting at 9 a.m. and ages 10-14 camp starting at 1 p.m.

In addition to top-quality instruction, each camper receives two tickets to an upcoming Cincinnati Reds home game at Great American Ball Park, a Reds summer camp t-shirt and hat, graduation certificate and free admission pass to the Reds Hall of Fame.
