WASHINGTON (AP) - Odalis Perez pitched into the eighth inning to
earn his first home win as the new-look Washington Nationals beat
the Cincinnati Reds 5-2 on Friday night.
The win ends Washington's nine-game losing streak.
Perez allowed one run and three hits over 7 1-3 innings in his
longest start since Aug. 11, 2005.
