MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - The Big East has named West Virginia
running back Noel Devine as the conference offensive player of the
week.
Devine rushed for a career-high 188 yards on 18 carries in the
Mountaineers' 17-6 win over Syracuse on Saturday. He scored on a
92-yard run late in the fourth quarter. It marked Devine's third
100-yard effort of the season.
The Big East on Monday also named Louisville cornerback Johnny
Patrick as the defensive player of the week. Cincinnati punter
Kevin Huber earned the special teams honor.
