Jennifer Rizzi is excited to be part of the WSAZ Charleston team and report for the Kanawha Valley. She is happy to bring her passion for storytelling to West Virginia and use it to put a spotlight on the community.
Jennifer’s love of journalism began at age 12 when she volunteered for her local newspaper and won a national award for children’s writing. Since then, the Pittsburgh native has reported in her hometown for WTAE-TV and The Pittsburgh-Post Gazette. In 2010, she was one of two broadcast students selected nationally to work with The Associated Press Television News in New York City.
Most recently, Jennifer worked for WHTM-TV in Harrisburg, PA as a reporter and web producer. Her multimedia work has been recognized by the Radio and Television Digital News Association and featured on the Travel Channel.
Jennifer lives in Dunbar and likes to keep active in her time off. You can usually find her at zumba class, trying new restaurants, or spoiling her kitten, Tails.
