Lauren Schmoll joined WSAZ in June of 2011, after spending four years working at the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio.

Lauren Schmoll joined WSAZ in June of 2011, after spending four years working at the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio.

She currently reports for the 5, 5:30 and 6 p.m. newscasts. Prior to that, she served as the reporter for NewsChannel 3 Today.

Lauren has also worked as a reporter at WOSU 820-AM, the NPR station in Columbus.

This isn't the first time she's been a part of the WSAZ team. Back in 2005 and 2006, Lauren spent her summers interning at NewsChannel 3, learning from former WSAZ reporters like Carrie Cline, Randy Yohe and Doug Korstanje.

She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2009, and now lives in her hometown of Cheshire, Ohio.
