Michael Clouse is an award-winning reporter for WSAZ in Charleston. He came to the land of Wild and Wonderful from Hoosier country.
Michael was born and raised in Central Wisconsin (Go Packers!) and attended college at Cedarville University near Dayton, Ohio. Following school, he started his broadcast career at WTHI in Terre Haute, Indiana. While there, he reported, anchored, and produced newscasts.
In 2012, Michael won Associated Press and Indiana Broadcasters Association awards for Breaking News. His story covered everyday heroes who rescued a woman from a burning car following an accident. Amazingly, the entire incident was captured on a local business's security camera.
When he's not reporting or following current events as a news junkie, Michael enjoys every outdoor and athletic activity in the book (If you have an extreme sport or activity to try, let him know!). He also enjoys being involved in his local church and volunteering in the community.
Michael is very excited to be here in West Virginia and experience everything the tri-state has to offer!
Michael loves hearing from viewers! If you have any story ideas or just want to say hello, feel free to email him at michael.clouse@WSAZ.com.
