John Marra is NewsChannel 3's Home and Garden Expert. John is West Virginia University's Cabell County Extension Agent who works extensively with WSAZ.

John Marra is WSAZ Newschannel 3’s Home and Garden Expert. He is retired from West Virginia University as the Cabell County Extension Agent and now works exclusively with WSAZ.

John hosts his own show each Saturday morning at 5:30 a.m. focusing on the concerns of region’s farmers as well as concerns of landowners with their lawns, gardens, shrubs and trees. John also has special reports on Newschannel 3 Today each week day in the morning as well as his Green Thumb Report on Tuesdays at 5:30 P.M. John can also be seen at Noon on the news as well as My-Z on Tuesday Wednesday as well as Thursday answering viewer’s concerns as it relates to their outside environment.

John Marra has worked in Cabell County since 1986 after being transferred from the Extension Agent’s position in Lincoln County.

John resides in Hurricane, West Virginia and has three children and 6 grand children.
