Dave MacQueen was born and raised in Charleston. He graduated from George Washington High School in 1999. With a love for photography in mind, he decided to attend the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University. After receiving a bachelors degree in Broadcast News in May of 2005, he moved back to his hometown with the hope of working at his favorite news station.

He started as a photojournalist at WSAZ Newschannel 3 in Charleston in June of 2005, and enjoys every day of his job. His favorite part of work is getting out and seeing everything that goes on in the area on a day-to-day basis. He also loves meeting new people every day.
